I found some DRW hubs for my 1-ton rearend which will narrow it to 63.5" and I've found plenty of decent wheels up to 12" wide with 5" BS to push the tire just about to the inner fender.  It only weighs about 125lbs more than the 454SS rearend and since it's a full floater, I can't lose an axle.  It's not like I would be making enough power to break one anyway.
Holley makes a 4bbl throttle body that they claim is 950cfm...that might be worth looking into if I go with the big engine.
What are some good throttle body sites?  I now know that there are folks making good power with 'em, my curiosity is really getting wound up...

So, who's the tuning guru here?
Are the throttle bodies from CFM-Tech worth the coin if I'm not going bigger than 496 with a street roller cam or will a stock piece do it with adjustable fuel pressure regulator?  I assume a Victor Jr. or one of the new Weiand redesigned single plane intakes is the way to go since there's no need for dual plane with no carb?
Thanks for y'all's help, I'm glad I found this site!

I would say the single plane of your choice.  Currently I'm using an Edel MPFI conversion manifold with the TB on top and the injector holes in the intake are plugged.  I've also run a low rise Holley St Dominator (the current version of this is dual plane).

Nasty-Z has run an old style Torker among others.

A gentleman here used to bore and sleeve TB's to a 2.2" bore, but he no longer does it.

Another trick to get more airflow is have the IAC open fully at WOT.

Truthfully, you'd probably get better tuning advice at TGO.  Most of us are still cutting our teeth.

That intake has been out for a couple of years.  They significantly extended the runners into the plenum and thickened 'em.  It looks more like a small Super Victor more than a Victor Jr.  I'll try to post the part number when I get a chance.

Never used one personally , I among others have used the modded one that a member here has done , +/- 900 CFM

Single plane is the way to go , I have tried a Low rise single plane Torker , High rise Torker , and a Team G , among others . If you are gonna tune it might as well get all the airflow you can  Smiley Just be careful of icing of the throttle blades when you start moving the TBI further from the manifold , TBI likes a heated plenum.
