Sport Truck Shootout 2001

The First Annual East Coast Truck Shootout

Presented by 454SS NATC

Date: August 4, 2001

Place: Beech Bend Raceway, Bowling Green Kentucky (click for more info)

Time: We have the track privately reserved from Noon to 5 pm, after 5pm the track is open to the public.

Price: $20 for truck & driver, spectators extra, money will be collected at the track the day of the Shootout.

Other Events: Holley Museum Tour Friday (Holley has personally set us up tour for club members), Corvette Museum

Awards:

Classes: Trophy's will be given out for each class. Classes will divided into 13.99 and under, and 14.00 and over (these cut off numbers are just an example, we will have a better idea of where to break them into 2 categories when we see trial run numbers), for Street Trucks. Also, we will have a class for Pro-Street, as well as a Diesel Class. Classes must have at least 5 participants Pre-registered in order to qualify for competition. If any classes do not have 5 pre-registered participants by July 4, 2001, then trophies will not be awarded for that class. Please note: Your class will be decided after your trial runs.

Dash Plaques: As well dash plaques will be given to all who pre-register with the 454SS NATC Vice Pres (addy below) for the event. Participants who register the day of the event may not receive a dash plaque. (First come, first serve)

Hotels: Ramada Inn, Scottsdale Rd BG (Exit 22) Ramada has offered a deal for club members only. The price per night is $55 plus $3.50 for a hot buffet breakfast (a great meeting place in the morning). This is an even lower rate than AAA rates. You can book either a single room with king sized bed, or a double room (4 people) . Call Ramada Inn for reservations, 1-800-582-6694 or 1-270-781-3000 When making reservations tell them you are with the 454SS Club to get the discount rate. (Valid if booked before July 2, 2001) <---Keep trying to get rooms, I think they will still offer this for the club after this date.
